The Yorkshire Vice-Cream Co

My name is Lucy and I am the founder of The Yorkshire Vice-Cream Co. which was born from my disappointment of not being able to find a nice dairy free ice-cream after going vegan. When there were options they tended to be plain or sorbets and seemed a bit like an after thought.

Our vice-creams are made using oat milk, an option which we preferred as it’s so much more creamy. I wanted the flavours to be interesting, and certainly not the usual vegan offerings. They are handmade, the cake, shortbread, gingerbread and most other elements are made fresh to mix into the ice-creams.

We here are vegan for the animals and want to support local animal rescue charities so for every tub sold 10% of profits will be donated direct to Pigs in the Wood in Scissett, Fresh Start for Hens who rescue commercial chickens and rehome them across the country, Millingtons Magical Barn in Dewsbury and Albert’s Horse Sanctuary just around the corner in Cawthorne.

You can taste my beautiful vice-creams at The Pear Tree Pantry, thanks for helping to support a small business and helping charities that I believe in.
