Nestled in the beautiful walled gardens of Cannon Hall in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, our café is more than just a place to grab a coffee it’s an experience. You can relax with freshly brewed coffee and homemade snacks while soaking up the rich history that surrounds you.

As you wander the grounds, you’ll discover plaques sharing fascinating facts about the museum, gardens, and local wildlife.

The grounds are packed with all sorts of incredible wildlife, the jewel in our crown must be our Kingfishers, if your lucky you'll see a flash of electric blue fly past you alongside the lakeside.

We proudly work with local suppliers, including Forge Coffee Roasters in Sheffield, supporting our community while ensuring freshness and quality. From our rich, aromatic coffee beans to our homemade pies, soups, and cakes, everything is prepared daily to warm you from the inside out. We take our time, but we promise it’s worth the wait.

Pair it with one of our homemade cakes, traybakes, or vegan treats, and you’ve got the perfect excuse to leave the house. We also offer a wide variety of seasonal syrups to make your coffee exactly how you like it everyone’s taste is different, and we love the challenge! Our seasonal menu reflects the freshest local ingredients, and you’ll always find vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-friendly options available. Everyone deserves a comforting treat, whatever their dietary needs all served from a kitchen with a 5-star hygiene rating.

A Warm Welcome for You and Your Dogs

Winter walks around Cannon Hall Park and Gardens can be bracing, but they’re also beautiful, with the ever-changing colours of autumn and winter. That’s why we’re a dog-friendly café in Barnsley, complete with water bowls, tasty treats, and even premium eco-friendly dog sausages from our local supplier Aurora Paws you can also purchase from there website www.aurorapaws.co.uk and choose the option free collection at The Pear Tree Pantry. After your walk, you and your four-legged friend can cosy up together with something delicious. You can catch up with likeminded people, we have a large group of daily regulars who visit us, they are always up for a chat, and they have a fantastic sense of community & friendship. Many of there friendships started right here with us over a brew!
